Platelet-rich plasma rejuvenation
We are employing a method which is the latest generation for the facial rejuvenation. It is ideal for those cases where we want to improve the look of the skin, to enhance its firmness and brightness. It has a rejuvenating effect based on the stimulation of the cells. It is a biological, non risk therapy, that stimulate the fibroblasts and elastin to smooth out the wrinkles. The utilization of plasma rich in platelets (PRP) is relatively recent. Its discoverer was the doctor Eduardo Anitua, who was the first in utilizing them for the healing of oral implants with an excellent result. This did that the technique itself extended to other applications and medical disciplines such as the aesthetic medicine, with the objective to rejuvenate and to improve the quality of the skin. The platelets release growth factors that are necessary to stimulate the cell regeneration, to enlarge the formation blood of new blood vessels and to produce new tissue. This has a refreshing effect and rejuvenate the skin. One of the released growth factors is the called epidermal growth factor, which is capable of inducing the proliferation of keratinocytes and fibroblasts, to stimulate the angiogenesis and to enlarge the thickness of the skin, returning it its normal elasticity and firmness. It also enhances the vascularization of the skin, which helps favoring the apparition of new skin, diminishing the effects from cell oxidation and eliminating the wrinkles. PRP has been used also in burns, to treat keloids, acne and grooves, to improve the all types, to favour the skin grafts taking, as well as treatment after peelings or a base incorporated to the cosmetics.
It is a physiological and natural processing that utilizes the own proteins of our body, selected and concentrated, so that they repair the damage produced by the passing of time or by the solar action. It is obtained from the own patient so there are neither risks of allergies nor intolerances.
About the procedure
It is an outpatient treatment that is carried out in the consultation. After the cleaning and preparation of the area to treat we apply an anesthetic cream to diminish the discomfort. Blood is extracted from the patient and the PRP is obtained by spinning the blood in a centrifuge. It is activated and injected through multiinjections with a very fine needle, alike the mesotherapy. The number of sessions will depend on the the skin of each patient. Habitually we propose 3 sessions in three consecutive months. After the first year a maintenance should be carried out that will consist of a session each 6 or 12 months.
What you should know
One must be patient. The growth factors have to act stimulating the tissue; therefore, there is not an instant result. The effects appear with the step of the days and the improvement is progressive as the biological response of the cells appear. The effect is maximal at 20/30 days after the procedure. The biological stimulation will increase the tonicity of the skin, make the fine lines improve and even dissapear, the wrinkles and furrows will improve and the look will be fresher and younger. It is very recommendable to associate this procedure with facial radio frequency.

Hola Marta,
El PRP o plasma rico en plaquetas se aplica con una aguja muy fina en forma de múltiples punciones. Previamente aplicamos una crema anestésica por toda la zona a tratar, lo que hace que el tratamiento no sea doloroso. La planificación del tratamiento la realizamos según tus características personales, la calidad y el tipo de piel que tengas. Si no has realizado tratamientos previos la recomendación media es realizar entre 3 y 4 sesiones. La duración media de los efectos del tratamiento es de un año, por lo que recomendamos un mantenimiento posterior.

Estimado Doctor a o mejor es un poco ridiculo mi comentario pero hace unos dias asisiti aun curso en la ciudad de Cordova en Argentina de solo un dia sobre este temas siento que hubo informacion que falto sin mencionar la parte practica .
Yo soy Ecuatoriana radicada en Chile desde hace 5 años en este pais hay sitios como spa que lo realizan pero como tal medicos que lo hagan son un grupo pequeños desearia informacion para instruirme mejor ahora es claro que la practica nada la reemplazara espere su repuesta muchas gracias de antemano en lo que usted me pueda ayudar

Yo le recomendaría que se enterara en Chile de qué distribuidores hay para el tema de obtención de PRP. hay varios sistemas en el mercado y seguro que en Chile también se comercializa.

Gracias por visitarnos. El precio del tratamiento facial son 450€ la sesión. Tiene un efecto muy bonito sobre el aspecto de la piel, pero no es especifico para la flacidez. Para ello contamos ahora con lo último en radiofrecuencia, se trata de la radiofrecuencia pixelada, con la que se obtiene un efecto de tensión en los tejidos.

para la aplicacion de plasma rico en plaquetas en pacientes con quemaduras de abdomen,se puede aplicar el liquido sobre la zona atratar directamente? Ya que no se podria inyectar. O que tecnica me sugiere?. De antemano muchas gracias.

El tratamiento puede usarse de forma tópica si existe una quemadura todavía en vías de cicatrización. Pero si ya está formada es difícil que mejore, y desde luego ya no sería de forma tópica sino inyectada.
